cudi’s friend likes bikes.

You know how I know? Because hes wearing a freakin’ Bianchi shirt! Last Saturday, Matt and I were chillin’ and watching Cudi’s latest music video when I paused and noticed his cohort sporting cycling related garb. I found it interesting, real interesting in fact. How coincidental is that it’s black history month, my favorite cyclist of all time is Marshall “Major” Taylor, and one of my more recent favorite artist, Kid Cudi, hangs with folks that can appreciate cycling in some shape or form? Might this just be a trend? Or perhaps a real cycling enthusiast like myself? Whatever the case may be, I thought it was worth sharing. Ride a bike, son!
mondays are fun days.

Yet another decent Monday. Today, I had the pleasure of catching up with my friend Tim. Look at the guy. JUST LOOK AT HIM!! Haha anyways, he got some new bike parts, which look pretty damn good on that Mash-inelli of his. Sounds like all is well in the city. I’m gonna have to make a trek up there one of these weekends since I have three-day weekends all the time now. It’s been a while since Tim and I and the rest of the city gang has kicked it. In due time, my friend, in due time. Read the rest of this entry »
trick trackery.

Yes, I design for iMiNUSD. And sometimes my shit makes it online. This is another one that’s plastered on Trick Track. This site isĀ dedicated to fixed-gear free style riding; I still call it tarcking. I guess it’s pretty gratifying to get my shit up. Two years ago, I made it my goal to get my work seen. Now, in the fixed gear realm, you can’t escape what I’ve created. I’m proud of it. I made it myself. That’s priceless.
wnbp: tas force demolition team.
Last night, SJFixed played it’s very first official game of bike polo. My summation of the night: hella fun! Above is some video captured by Colin on his iPhone. It was a great time playing at quantum, and not being bothered by passersby and on-campus police. There were some epic, influenced crashes too, which is as fun watching as it is playing. I woke up with a stinging 3 inch scrape up my shin IĀ failed to notice; insta-street cred. It has also been decided, that when teams are organized, we will be calling ourselves the TAS Force Demolition Team. I don’t care if it’s too long. What do you know about names? Trust, we definitely live up to the name. My steed of choice would be the foldable Dahon that Matt’s riding in the video. Our team is currently sponsored by iMD, Men’s Macy’s, 1-800 Radiator, and EDD. If you are interested in sponsoring our team, or would like to join, leave your information in the comments. Ha, but seriously, this game is too fun. We will be doing this every Wednesday, so come out and join us. See you next week!
no! i ate swine!!

Fuck, indeed! Yes, I ate swine today. Siopao to be exact. If you know me, you would know that I don’t eat pork. But, I was starving and it was pasalubong from my mom. You can thank me for the Tagalog lesson later. Anyway, this hump day has been a sort of odd one. It felt like a Monday, my favorite day of the week, but also an internet Friday, as there is no news in the blogosphere. What is nice is the sunny California weather. I discovered was that the Heavy Pedal was the only blog to write about Sheldon Brown’s. I also wrote an article, and you can check it out over here. In other news, Darren and I have been working on some projects for iMD as of late. You’ll see ‘em when they’re up. Working with creatives is damn fun! Oh and that curry we cooked was on hit, just ask Q haha. Other than that, I’ve been very busy with school and work. However, I am excited to say that I will be having three-day weekends every weekend starting next week. Last but not least, I’m working on this d.i.y. project that’s pretty time sensitive. So if you got some ideas, and are curious as to it’s purpose, inquire in the comments. It’d be fun to get other’s involved. That’s all for now. Gah, hopefully I don’t get mud butt from eating that pork bun…gross.
